PA 62- Where should we stay? by *MrsNox:iconMrsNox:

PA 62 - Where should we stay?

Location: Kirlsa, Woltar‘s mansion, 2F.
Availability: After end of game/ game complete, after PA 61.
Requirements: Must have achieved ending with Albel in party.
Type: Automatic when you near Woltar’s mansion after PA 61.

Fayt and the group parted ways at the gates of Kirlsa- Sophia practically running to the cake making shop on the corner and Maria following at a discreet distance.

Fayt began to wander aimlessly around town, deep in his own thoughts. Should he pursue better item creations, or perhaps try to venture further down into a dungeon somewhere? The maze of tribulations was looking appealing again- he hadn‘t gone there in a while- but he suspected some of the lower levels where he hadn’t gone held monsters and bosses a little out of his depth.

Training it was, then.

No matter what he set out to do, it always came down to one thing.
Training.

They were in an apt enough area for it- but where would the party rest for the night? He stopped outside Kirlsa mansion and peered up at the three wide long windows. Behind the middle window was Woltar’s room, and just as he went to look down he noticed two shadows moving around behind it.

One was short and hunched slightly- this was probably Woltar himself. The other was tall, thin and lanky with a bulky right arm and long rat tails behind them. This was definitely Albel. He didn’t know what was going on, but Albel was pacing around- and that was not a good sign.

If anything, he wanted the samurai’s opinion, as he knew no matter what he would receive it anyway. The earlier Albel was asked and the fewer other people were consulted before him, the more likely Albel was to be pleasant in his thoughts. Which meant that if Fayt planned on doing anything, he knew better than to leave Albel as the last to know about it.
Albel was more familiar with Airyglyph anyway, he added to himself.

“I said I haven’t decided yet you old fart- stop asking me!” Albel exclaimed, as Fayt made his way up the stairs carefully. If he let his presence be known whilst Albel was still mid-rage then he would be accused of eavesdropping. Well, he was, but that was besides the point.

He ducked down behind the banister as Albel strode out of Woltar’s room. The bluenette could just about make out an expression mixed with both fury and strain before settling into his hiding place quickly. This wasn’t the time for Albel to decide to walk down the stairs.

“But Albel,” came the far off sound of Woltar reproachfully replying, and though Fayt strained to hear, he heard very little over the sound of Albel’s huffing and feet shuffling.

The warrior was having trouble walking away from this one.

“Alright, alright already! I understand that! It’s not like, well, you know… … I mean I do appreciate that,” he groaned. Fayt’s eyes bugged out in shock as the word ’appreciate’ escaped from Albel’s lips. “But there are other factors in my decision now. Rest assured that whatever happens…” Albel’s voice grew quiet.

Fayt strained some more. What? What had Albel just said? He was sure Albel had promised not to leave. Leave what, who? Woltar? Airyglyph? Did this mean Albel meant to leave the group eventually? That didn’t leave a good feeling with the bluenette. Subconsciously he held his chest as it beat in him hard.

“What are you doing, maggot?” Fayt stopped breathing as a shadow hung over him.

He slowly raised his head in trepidation.
“Hi Albel,” he smiled and nodded innocently, suddenly slammed back into his current predicament at the narrowing of Albel’s scrutinising eyes. “Oh, yes- right! Well, I was just looking for… my contact lens?” his smile turned into a full blown grin.

Albel wavered for a moment.
“What’s that?” he put gauntlet on hip.

Fayt stood slowly. Well, of course he wouldn‘t know. “Well, they’re like… uh… … oh, never mind,” Fayt sighed silently in relief as Albel shrugged. “Actually, I came here to ask you about something,” Fayt continued.
“And got caught up in my argument with Woltar?” Albel challenged.
Fayt shook his head. “Really, it wasn’t like that. I heard you arguing, but I was too far away to hear what it was about. Unless you need to tell me, I won’t ask what it was about,”

Albel relented. “Fine, you have my attention,”
“Great! You see, I think we should do some more training, and this seems like the perfect place,” Fayt explained. “But then where should we go afterwards to rest?” Fayt questioned thoughtfully.

“Hmph. What did the others say?” Albel asked.
“What? Oh, well I haven’t asked anyone else yet really. I thought I’d ask you first, since you come from Airyglyph,” Fayt explained.

“Hm, that’s right. Hmph, I wager that Aquarian hag would have wanted to rest in Arias,” Albel scoffed.
“Who, Nel? Probably. She certainly doesn’t hide her reluctance to be here. I don’t blame her, but resting in Arias would kinda be out of the way,” Fayt pointed out.

Albel paused thoughtfully, looking to the floor.
Fayt risked a fond smile at the amount of thought the Airglyphian was putting into his decision.

“Well, you have three choices. All are centred around our training area. It all depends on where you would like to stay the most. All offer the same level of accommodation and you won’t lose any sleep no matter where you stay- unless you‘re Nel that is. So? Will it be Airyglyph, Kirlsa or the Training Facility?” he asked, seeming curious.

Fayt seemed taken aback. There he was, asking a question, only to have one aimed right back at him. Funny. And why was Albel looking so sheltered about the situation?

All Fayt could do was answer. Only once again, it wasn’t that simple.

These are soooo much FUN!!! They make me squeal and talk like Sophia. :D :D :D

I got the right choice right off the bat. XD Of course, if I was in Fayt's position I don't think I'd be able to choose. I like all of Airyglyph!

:iconmrsnox:
Me too! I chose Kirlsa as the best option because it's neither freezing cold nor is it in the middle of no where surrounded by mountains. From Kirlsa you can get to all of Airyglyph. ^____^ Plus, the facility is military based.

Thanks for playing! =D

Haha! I love these. Somehow I ALWAYS manage to answer the ones that make Fayt seem totally ga-ga for Albel on the first shot... -.-;;

...wonder why that is >.>

XD! Remember the ones you chose first. ;) I'm thinking of actually making some 'endings' based on the end pointing results. ^____^
Won't be for ages though, seeing as I want to do many more PAs. ;)

Thanks for playing!

The options are always hard to chose.

Pshhh... personally, Kirlsa because it's the closest.

And I thought Albel grew up in Kirsla.
That's what it said somewhere in the game...
D:
And I can't find him in Arias.
You know when you see random characters walking about, and you talk to them?
Albel's not in Arias. Weird, huh?

Albel's in Arias once or twice- because he promises not to cause any trouble with the Aquarians/ Crimson Blades. ^-^ But yes, often when you go in there at most points in the game, he can't be found. ^0^
